That vision led to a strategic partnership between Tall Builders and NABS, focused on developing a new generation of prefabricated housing systems designed specifically for Hawaiʻi and other high-cost construction markets.

The partnership combines modern steel-frame technology, advanced manufacturing processes, and practical construction experience to create homes that are faster to build, more durable, and more affordable than many traditional construction methods.

Unlike conventional wood-framed structures, NABS homes are engineered to be termite-resistant, fire-resistant, mold-resistant, and highly energy-efficient, designed to withstand challenging environmental conditions while reducing long-term maintenance costs.

Today, the housing platform includes multiple floor plan configurations ranging from one-bedroom units to larger family homes with up to five bedrooms.

Through the partnership with NABS, Tall Builders hopes to create scalable housing solutions for workforce housing, affordable housing developments, disaster recovery efforts, and private residential construction throughout the Pacific region.
